Search public company filings for documents the legal documents they have used and attached to their public filings as exhibits.   Repurpose these documents by using them as a model to jump start the drafting of your own documents.

Practice Advisor Forms provide model documents that you can use to jump-start the drafting of your own documents.  

To access:

  1. Search the Red Search Box for the type of document you are looking for.
  2. Select "Forms" from the Content Type drop-down box, and the practice area from the Topic drop-down box.
  3. Search

OR

  1. Select the type of transaction you are interested in.
  2. Click on Forms.
  3. Review results for applicable Form OR
  4. Search using the red search box  
    1. Under Content Type:  select Forms
    2. Under Topics: Select applicable topic

Law Insider is a free tool that allows you to search the more than 250,000 contracts it has collected from SEC document filings, and has catalogued and indexed them by contract type, state/jurisdiction, company, signees and filing date.

To search for model documents:
 
  1. Browse Sample Transactional Forms (link)
  2. Search Documents/Clauses Database (link)
  3. Search Edgar (link)
    • Search a companies public filings by selecting "Search Edgar" (see below)
    • Keyword search Forms & Exhibits to locate applicable document already filed by a public company in one of their public filings.  Repurpose the model to jump start the drafting of your own document.
