About

The New York Law Institute became a selective depository library for New York's 10th Congressional District in 1909. As a Federal Depository Library, we provide free access to and reference service for publications issued by the federal government.

FDLP Basic Collection: Core U.S. Government Resources. This FDLP LibGuide includes titles, a description of each title, and background about the FDLP. This is intended for general public access.

The New York Law Institute selects publications that enhance our collection. With an emphasis on law and legislation, NYLI currently selects about 5% of the publications distributed through the Federal Depository Library Program. Items are predominantly online but we also collect print volumes, and microfiche.
